SOMA: Science–Art Object of Multidisciplinary Approach

My art practice was born from a scientific way of seeing the world — attentive, curious, and rigorous. I live at the intersection of two languages: science and art. The first taught me to ask clear questions; the second gave me the freedom to answer them in unexpected ways.

I am driven by the desire to renew the forms of science communication, nourished by a deep awareness of the diversity of artistic approaches. This has led me to create what I call SOMAScience–Art Objects of a Multidisciplinary Approach. These immersive installations belong to the field of science communication, yet they aim to expand it towards artistic forms.

I attach great importance to the vitality of the object — its energy, its ability to move and touch us. My installations are not always perfect or durable: they may be handmade, fragile, or temporary. This is a deliberate choice.
Creations that require careful attention — like living beings — or that carry traces of imperfection, like a unique genetic imprint, invite us to pause, to focus, and to feel.

My SOMAs :

Decision Threshold

This installation was inspired by the 1983 Soviet nuclear false alarm, when a quick and thoughtful response of an engineer prevented a mistaken nuclear strike and possible nuclear apocalypse.

As weapons and AI evolve, the necessity of AI-controlled deterrence systems is increasingly discussed. My installation serves as a reminder of the dangers of entrusting devastating power to an « intelligence » incapable of understanding what apocalypse truly means.

The hand and its index react to the threat level calculated from various signals (radar, electromagnetic pulses, etc.), moving closer and closer to the button as the perceived danger increases.

The Univers Opens its Eyes

We are part of the Universe. Every atom in our bodies carries a story older than the Earth itself. Many of them were forged in the hearts of supernovae. In truth, we are the Universe — the Universe becoming aware of itself (the anthropic principle). A remarkable stage in its evolution.

This installation tells an epic journey of matter becoming intelligent and consciousness.
From the Big Bang to the emergence of thought, it traces the thread of cosmic evolution all the way to us, here and now. I used mirrors to amplify the feeling of belonging — and to help each person glimpse their place in this vast whole.

Are we the only eyes in the cosmos?..
